In this course, learn to account for capital assets and various amortization methods, current liabilities and short-term notes payable. Learners also analyze cash flows and prepare the Statement of Changes in Financial Position, analyze a company’s profitability, efficiency, solvency, and liquidity through financial ratio analysis and other tools of analysis. As well, learners gain an understanding of the characteristics and accounting for business partnerships and corporate financial statements reporting.
This course is available through in-class and online delivery options.
Online option is available via weekly intake. The registration deadline for the online option is the Wednesday prior to the Monday start date. You will have four months to complete the course.
Fees do not include textbook. The textbook can be purchased online at the Bow Valley College Bookstore
Financial Accounting Intermediate or equivalent experience.
Students will need a business calculator.
