This course covers the basics in working with an integrated accounting package suitable for most small to medium-sized businesses. Topics include setting up company files, working with lists, bank accounts, creating invoices and sales receipts, receiving payments and making deposits, entering and paying bills, doing payroll, and tracking and paying GST.
This course is available through in-class and online delivery options.
Online option is available via weekly intake. The registration deadline for the online option is the Wednesday prior to the Monday start date. You will have four months to complete the course.
Fees do not include textbook. The textbook can be purchased online at the Bow Valley College Bookstore. Software is not provided. However, if you are a student registered in any QuickBooks courses, you will be eligible to download the student software free of charge.
Financial Accounting Introduction and Computer Basics or equivalent experience.
