Basic Life Support CPR Renewal is NOT CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED. The Heart & Stroke Foundation new guidelines came into effect in 2016, with renewal courses discontinued as of Aug 31, 2016. The Renewal course will likely be re-introduced in the future, once the new guidelines have been taught for at least a year.
the Renewal course for those who wish to update their knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
You must have successfully completed the Basic Life Support CPR course (FACP9101) within the past 12 months. The skills re-evaluated are 1- and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant CPR, choking, including the use of barrier device/pocket mask use, bag valve mask (BVM), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
A current Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS HCP CPR certificate is required, please BRING YOUR CERTIFICATE TO CLASS. If you do not have one, or it has expired, see Basic Life Support CPR (FACP9101).
