Recruitment & Selection

This course will examine the relationship between effective planning, recruiting, selecting, and retaining employees. Different approaches to recruitment will be examined and emphasis will be on practical application of knowledge and skills required for effective recruitment and selection. Topics will include job design, writing job descriptions, creating policies and procedures, recruitment sources, internal and external recruitment, and interviewing.

Delivery Option:

This course is available through in-class and online delivery options.

Online option is available via weekly intake. The registration deadline for the online option is the Wednesday prior to the Monday start date. You will have four months to complete the course.

Course Material:

Fees do not include textbook. The textbook can be purchased online at the Bow Valley College Bookstore

Online learners will have access to the course material through Desire2Learn(D2L) on the start date.
