Supervisory Skills in Intercultural Teams

Skill building for supervisors to adapt to changing cultural settings.   Participants will learn skills and strategies to grow organizations existing diversity and inclusion efforts.  They will better be able to adjust their behaviour in order to foster mutually successful interactions with others in the workplace.
In this course participants will;
• Learn about cultural dimensions in relation to real workplace situations to develop intercultural sensitivity and practical communication skills
• Explore the impact of power imbalances  influenced by hierarchy in different cultures and how it can hinder communication
• Develop communication strategies to facilitate meetings with many cultural perspectives
• Give and receive feedback in culturally responsive ways
• Explore the impact of the performance review on people from different cultures

Additional Information

This course is part of the Intercultural Competencies for Leaders Certificate Program. It is highly recommended that you take Intercultural Communication Skills I and II (IIAD9101 and IIAD9102) before you take this course. ICS I and II are the foundational courses for this certificate and will enrich your learning in this course.
