This course provides an overview of the key accounting principles used in oil and gas management, as well as the terms and key financial models and statistics needed to understand a company’s published financial statements. Topics to be covered include an introduction to full cost accounting; drilling and development costs; accounting for production activities; and accounting for revenue from oil and gas sales. The course includes a review and analysis of oil and gas companies’ financial statements.
