Procurement Process Fundamentals

The procurement cycle is complex and requires continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process. Gain an understanding of the key objectives and responsibilities of the purchasing function, the various types of purchases, approaches to improving the procure to pay process, and contract and purchase order preparation. The competitive advantages and various types of purchasing policies and procedures, trade agreements, transportation requirements, reverse logistics and internal and external integration of varied groups are explored.

This course is available through in-class and online delivery options.

Online option is available via weekly intake. The registration deadline for the online option is any Wednesday. The course will start the Monday following the completion of your registration. To start on a different date please call 403-410-1400.You will have four months to complete the course.
